Built for the whiteboard-and-whistle workflow
Everything moves in HoopScape — players cut, the ball swings, screens arrive on time. Build it once, run it clean, reuse it all season.
Draw animated drills
Place players, defenders, cones and the ball on a half court, a full court, or either one with the out-of-bounds surround. Build the movement frame by frame, then play it back at whatever speed makes the point. Screens and box-outs are marked, so a drill shows the action, not two players standing close.
Plan the whole practice
Drag drills into a timed plan, set durations, and reorder on the fly. The session adds up to the minute before you walk into the gym — and a variability bar shows at a glance whether you have built an hour of the same thing.
Run it courtside
Run mode shows the active drill big with its coaching cues beside it, tracks the clock, and moves drill-to-drill with a swipe. On iPhone and iPad it also keeps the screen awake.
Put the season on a schedule
Set a practice to repeat weekly, or drop a one-off on a date. Change a single occurrence — this Thursday starts late — without disturbing the rest of the series, and skip the week you have a road game.
Keep what actually happened
Jot a note during practice or after it, against the session it belongs to. Months later the Past view still has them, so you can look back at what worked in August before you plan November.
Share with a link
Send a drill or an entire practice to an assistant, a parent, or another coach with a single link — no account needed to open it, an optional expiry date, and you can revoke any link from your profile.

Why I built HoopScape
Built from real practices.
Hi, I'm Jacob. I'm a dad and basketball coach. I started coaching because I wanted to be part of my sons' basketball journey, and over the past five years I've coached roughly 20 teams across multiple seasons.
HoopScape grew out of the stuff I was doing every week: drawing drills, building practice plans, keeping time, taking notes, and trying to remember what we needed to fix from the last game — all while trying to actually coach.
I built HoopScape to bring that workflow into one place. And as I add AI, the goal is the same: not to replace the coach, but to take more of the planning work off your plate so you can spend more time with your players.
